Hi im hoping someone can help, i have a barcrest "can u dig it" 'machine and its started alarming saying hopper missing code 84-80. Ive replaced the hopper unit and checked wiring and still it alarms. Ive since tried another power unit, mpu5 board and coin mech but still it alarms. Any ideas? Now ive checked where the plug from the hopper goes into the main pcb. Ive pulled out the white connector plug and it looked like one of the wires had a bad connection so to cut a long story short ive forgot where the wire went. There is just a single black wire then another black wire that loops between two pins. aye

Hi Ive attatched a photo of the connector, if you take the top pin as number 1 going down to 14, there is a black wire in number 1 that loops to number 9 and a single black wire coming out the loom which i guess is power wire and ive got it going into the bottom pin number 14, i know ive likely got this totally wrong but just hoping someone can help.Attached File  IMG_1749.JPG   102.65KB   4 downloads

3rd from bottom looks like it's got the metal clamp missing judging by the pic.

yes i cant work out if the bottom space if where it goes or 3rd from the bottom as i took it out to try cut the wire into it better, silly i know i wish i had left it alone but just trying to rule out everything to try fix this alarm. if i can see a pic it will help, does it need to be the same machine or will all mpu5s be the same connector?? its the hopper to payout connection on an mpu5.
the single back wire that is currently 3rd from the bottom im assuming is a live as it comes from the hopper, the other black wire just loops from one point on the connector to another.
