Just a query before I start on my next dx layout. This machine, it states the "warning" on the top row of the feature trail has a Led section, is this a dot matrix or something else and can it be emulated within mfme? as its not included on the classic's by andy-1.

If not then I will leave that blank as it says what's supposed to be showing on there within the alpha display.

Surely it's just a couple of 7 seg displays, you will need to find the corresponding lamps and configure them in mfme, if it is 7 segs, I've never played this machine so unsure.

It's definitely not seven segs as the red square in the image above is far bigger than the standard seven segs and I'm pretty sure it's similar to a dot matrix display or like the led roadworks you see on motorway gantries or them little sign's you see in the central reservation telling you to go 50 which know one takes notice off.
I can't remember it's a long time since I played this for real

Have you tried a "  bfm led display"  as it states that when you land on the  "led"

it won't be a "dot matrix"  because IF it was. i am pretty sure the alpha would be scrambled.

My machine has big seven segs also machines like party time also do em big lol, but the machine above is a perfect square unlike a standard two segs side by side we'll see.
To hitthesix didn't think of that one, I'll try later today.

right loaded a bfm led display into the £10 layout but all the red squares are jumbled up (see pic) the arrow for the IM board looks similar to a arrow but that's it, so not sure how to get it to read correctly.

edit to add just added four sets of seven segs they also move along with the led display. so would I have to workout all them instead??

I wouldn't be too bothered to tbh if you can't get it to work, as the alpha display tells you when you hit the road works feature anyhow.

so it won't matter too much

very true but I thought i'd give it a try, might leave it on the final cut you won't be able to actually read it on my mini dx lol, even if its not correct it adds a bit more correct for the actual machine, now on to the actual artwork.

here's the art so far, it won't be crystal clear due to the flyer wasn't as clear as normally used but beggars can't be chooser's as they say, at least the classic will be dx'ed.

A font question does anybody know what the 3,2,1 features skill run and crash cash font is?? Also will be requiring blue, red n yellow 7's later on but maybe able to reproduce them.

Cheers tommy i'll take a look tomorrow.

Here's the completed art, its about the best I can do given the flyers a tad grainy etc. As you can see I've placed a roadwork in the led part as that bit won't work. next them traffic light reels including hi lo band lol

Atm the classic £10 layout keeps coming up with "reset error4" how do I clear this?? it does go after a few mins but would like it gone altogether.

Also the original machine has the bars in different colours i'e single bar standard green, double bar yellow and triple bar in red/purple so far I've not been able to source those colours so leaving them our usual colours, obtained reel symbols from viva mexico. need to make the hi lo band go horizontal but forgot how to do it lol.

I had to use what was used on the reels as I couldn't find the original bars for it.

Not sure how to clear this error.

To answer you're original question, if the drives for the matrix can be found, emulating it should be reasonably straight forward at some point.
