Why does your Ford have a hidden, backwards Chevrolet badge underneath the headlight?

could be worse around our parts its not only pheasant you need to avoid, its bleeding cows on the common and they just stand there in the middle of the road, pooping all over it lol. then when they've cleared a couple of stomachs off they go

as letmein  says I hope If you killed it you took it home though.

That's gonna hurt your wallet, I had the lens on the spotlight shatter on my Golf and I had to buy the whole unit with bulb £65 !!!!! You might find Chinese replicas cheaper on E-Bay, I was quoted £12.50 perhaps not.

Hope you can get the parts at a good price.

I know that's a joke...but on a serious side..

Are you aware that if an animal is killed by a car it's illegal to do that.....perfectly ok though for anyone else to pick it up and have a pie!

Suppose it's simply a law to stop animals being killed on purpose.

Sorry to put a spanner in the works, so to speak. What's stopping a person to road kill an animal and then their friend coming along a few minutes later claiming the road kill???? Maybe???

Absolutely nothing Ric, i'm sure if the *by-law even exist's it has been used as an excuse...though I doubt any prosecution has ever arisen from this kind of incident.

*I did try looking, i'm damn certain it's real (maybe i'm talking total crap lol?)...this is the closest I can find....and it's not even a legal page.  :policeman:

Correct!

Me dad when driving for Marshalls delivering paving slabs and such like, often ended up in this situ (Especially around The Fens / Linconshire area), but more said bird becomes embedded in his front radiator, only for the Transport Manager to come peel it out for dinner..... dad was never one for Game :D

Opposite way around in these parts, more like a bird will eat you for tea than you eat it, I'm talking women and the odd rabid seagull too

That's the headlight wash mechanism (the bit that didn't get knocked off) :)

I know but it's eerie just how similar it is to the shape of the Chevy badge!

I live out in the sticks so hit many different animals.

My first car, an A reg Fiesta!, hit a pheasant and it took the whole front bumper off!

Also hit a monk jack at 50mph in my current 206 and it bearly scratched it! Just bent the front grill in a bit and broke the radiator fan, so really got away with that one!

Ended up being £57 to get the 2 parts replaced. Could have been a lot worse...
