Hey all, I have been a member for quite some time and really want to start a collection of my own but I can't see to find a whole lot around Ireland? So is there anybody else on here from Ireland that either has tips for me or would like to sell me a machine.

Kind Regards Daz

I don't know much about it but I think the gambling laws in the South of Ireland are different to the UK?

Hey aaamusements, I'm not so sure tbh. All the pubs in my hometown have fruities/poker machines. I think a license is required but it is not enforced whatsoever and that goes for the arcades aswell. I remember a few years ago seeing a machine with an official license but that was just a once off. If i bought a machine in the north is it hard to convert the hopper to euro?

Kind Regards

Not that hard to change the hopper at all, as most will be on units supplied by Money Controls (Part of Crane Group), and chances are, you just need to locate the core unit from the local area, and they change over a bit like a cartridge, so only leaves the coin mech (The € variant versions of MARS / MEI and Coin Controls SR5's) and note acceptors (Where fitted) to sort out, but there are a few places that offer programming that can do a £ to € program conversion no problem on the coin mechs (Possibly on note acceptors too, but I don't know much about those), with Steveh (From Swallow Amusements) over at MPU Mecca I believe is able to offer such a service.
