Got one of these recently - had a few minor issues - loose speaker wire, middle hold button didn't work, and a super bright bulb on the middle reel( someone had put a 5w bulb in!) all easily fixed and it's in great condition :)

I've got a question - when I played these a few years ago they had a gamble option, you could climb up the values on the right hand side - and if the bonus lamp lit it would climb all the way to the top and give you the top game - it doesn't do this on either arcade or bingo setting - I'm thinking this feature was removed in later versions - does anyone know?

Right I can answer this one Dave.

Chuzzy has got the sit down version of this in his arcade, set to £5JP, and on his one, any win offered a cash gamble on that part, where as yours offers a random award, which from memory, was the same as the ones I used to play at Quicksilver in Derby, so I think that is why yours behaves differently..... it's all to do with the JP setting.

Thanks :) I played the single sit down version in coral island a few years ago- they were set on £25 and gave the gamble feature - but the next time I visited 6 months later the gamble feature was gone and played like mine does now - I 'm on version 7.03 - It's not a big problem, but just wondered why this version doesn't switch.

Was this the one on fleabag that went for over £300 from Weston, looked very good nick and I actually played that one it gave random feature and the obvious up the top on reel win.

BTW Dave, keep an eye on the system board on yours.... I've been dealing with Chuzzy's one, and it's been a complete front bottom to sort out..... has a habit of every time it meets an error condition, forced to RAM clear it.

I was keeping an eye on that one - but I'd already bought one from JNC in Bristol and was awaiting delivery.

What was the winning bid in the end. Just goes to show even the single players go for big money.

£420 I think - paid £395 for mine + vat and delivery so £580 in total - a little more than I really wanted to spend, but have been looking for one for a long time - I did consider a rainbow riches £500 and went to see it locally and it blue screened when he showed me it :D so I thought I'd get something a bit more reliable.

Have had an Astra machine since 2005 and it's never let me down, so I though I'd play safe :)

I'm after a single player Astra Solid Gold, I think you can get with different artwork, Silver Bells, Little Devils etc.

JNC did have a astra solid gold £70 video version - but it's £995 + vat
