To get a good vibe going on this site would it be at all possible for any new releases to get an automated 'Thank You' response from the staff, maybe under an 'FME Team' user account?    Just an idea, might create some positive mojo.   I know it shouldn't be the reason to create and release layouts but an acknowledgement from the guys running the website would look good.  Again it's just an idea.

No worries, just an idea.   I'm just thinking of realistic ways to improve the forum experience since the downtime.

I do appreciate your thinking, but I feel that there are more fundamental issues than the logo at this time.

I think every d/l downloaded should have a thankyou link like the like button  on posts

also like your way of thinking fusion new beginnings maybe in the new year, still no newbie creators yet must be someone out there wanting to have a go is there???????

How can you say 'thanks' before you see what you have downloaded?

 

If Harvey was here he'd have to hit "thanks"..then give his honest opinion saynowt.

He might of actually meant say thanks to that download before being able to dl the next as I said maybe something like the like button or even rate the layout.

It was meant to be more of an appreciative thanks. Thanks for releasing this layout on our website we appreciate it, I think a simple thanks is a great way for this site to move forward . It was only an idea, just to promote a positive vibe.

I see what you're saying, but I still disagree with a 'thanks' before downloading.

 

I have made load's of releases with no thanks (say's it all I suppose ) and so do many other's too.....I don't do them for the thanks....I do them for me if i'm honest, and to share what I do.

 

A layout isn't created in my eye's for a 'thanks' to be posted....if there is a 'thanks' then it's there for a reason...but to have to say it before downloading I can't 'get'.

 

As I said before (DIF) if there was a "thanks" then a totally negative reply (for whatever reason) isn't it just contraceptive?

 

I can't believe how many times I used the word 'Thanks' in this post, I promise there was no pun intended,

I always say thankyou when downloading layouts then if there's anything incorrect with the layout I either "edit" the post (if I can lol) or make another post. politeness for the work the creators did/done.

To be fair I would expect all mods to thank release threads regardless to hopefully encourage more activity.

 

I am a mod on jackpotty and I make sure I welcome every member that introduces themselves. Not because I know them, but because new members are what makes a forum what it becomes.

If I was a layout creator I wouldn't be satisfied with members spamming a generic 'thanks', It's enough to know people enjoy and value your efforts and that they're benefiting from it a reward system would work better which I guess that's what fruit-emu banners are about to show recognition and gratitude to Layout Creators, Contributors, Donators etc.
