So I go to download Amber that is supposed to be free but you can't download it without making a donation because it hits the daily download limit so not exactly free, Can I get it some way other than donating?

you could always come back on tomorrow and download it first before anything else or maybe join another site aswell who may have it but have no download restriction., Or you could always wait a few months as project Amber2 is in development a faster much improved emu so I hear.

Not upto me but if it was then I'd make the emulators exempt from the download limits.

anyways welcome to the site hope you enjoy your stay!!

Don't think he Meant it in a bad way it's just some come on here leech anything and everything then flog it. It's just the way you come across, first post and wanting to get stuff now quickly. All on good time, anyways even if you were flogging amber on flea bay it'll be a bit pointless as it'll be incompatible fairly soon. Anyways back to the first post have you got amber1 yet?

lol not at all, I don't even have an e-bay, amazon or other similar account, I just had amber, most MFME versions and a few machine's already on an old computer that died, all downloaded when the limit was off for a while, I'm not so much into it now but I felt like having amber back but may have to settle for a different emu as amber is over the daily download limit, I can't find it anywhere else either, no worries anyway. Amber2 sounds good, if I can get it lol. Cheers!

You will. I'd zip up amber for you but it's too big so for now stick with ye oldie Mfme. Amber will be worth the wait especially the online part a whole new side for emulation

yes but although that's a very good service it kind of spoils the fun of searching or coming across a layout or two you,ve playing In the past. still a great back up service though

Silver Supporter donation is £1 a month, you could subscribe for a single month, download the emulator and some layouts etc. and then cancel it after that if you wanted.

You'd get access to lots of stuff, the site would receive funds to help keep it going, and everyone would enjoy a warm, happy feeling for at least 10 minutes - without the inconvenience of going scuba diving...
