Is it for everyone just lately?

I've noticed it is taking an age to load pages and sections on here - and my internet is OK because the other sites and webpages load instantly.

Hope you're listening duplu... because it is becoming annoying to be honest ;)

Yes Daryl, I have the same problem with the page refresh rate. I'm on BT Infinity 2 fibre and other sites load OK.

It's a tad slow, but seems faster than the other day for me. Tried it on the work datacentre redundant 1Gbps link and it was similar which suggests it's a site rather than local issue :)

If i had to my finger on anything it would either be a server issue or a  external embedded media issue.

Strangely enough I've not had a problem with this although as many of you know I'm a bit slow as it is! Internet had bEen a. Bit sluggish on mobile phone across all sites, was dog sitting down parents last night and found it quicker to be honest. Maybe you're all going towards my super fast 0G internet speed lol.

I'm on BT 300Mbit fibre - lol

The site has been moved from a dedicated server to a VPS (Virtual Private Server).  The reason for this is that I simply can't finance the site out of my own pocket anymore.  The dedicated server cost in the region of £120 per month.  The VPS costs in the region of £40.  It was either downgrade or remove the site altogether.

I'm not seeing much of a slow down on page loads.

Thanks Duplu, a sober reminder of how much it cost nowadays to keep a site running, not to mention the time it can consume as well. It was no way a criticism, more the reporting of what could have been possible software problem.  If that saves you £80, I'm more than happy and we still have FME.

Many Thanks.

I never realised this was happening or the case mate.

I am now going to make a thread in the main topic site and pin it, asking members to either support us or lose us - simple as that!

I'm disheartened at that news actually mate for all the members we have and the service you've provided them... the least they can now do is offer a little back for all the hours if joy they've had from FME - action stations needed! :)

Sorry Alan, very remiss of me not to donate regularly. I will chuck something in the pot over the weekend when I get onto my desktop pc. Sadly no contribution necessary at DADs this year and I am bolloxed if I am going to lose 2 of my favourite forums in one year.

Thank you Duplu for hosting Fruit Emu all these years. My first EMU site this, so holds special memories.
