I cannot believe how much I have neglected my Apple iMac and MacBook laptop this week, just so I could go on Windows and play this legendary and my most favourite machine.

I haven't played the emulator so much in one week, for many, many years - and I haven't played any other emulation except HTS by HTS! ;)

To play the original ROM version of this game is one of the 'holy grails' in FME and one we have so desperately wanted too. Compost (Zoltar here) did an excellent DX of this originally, but the ROM was, how can I put it, 'bastardised' for want a word of it... it just didn't play the game any of us knew for this machine. Then a knight in shining armour came along last week from the Mecca forums, named Launton, and dumped us the 'Chosen ROM' what we had always been praying for! :p

The emulator session for this week reads over £1,000 input - and that my friends is all credited to paying just HTS by HTS.

It isn't often I write a review about a specific layout - I am always thankful to those layout designers for the machine they have released in quality fashion, but once in a while, a light shines in FME - and this my friends has been one of those epiphany moments for me in it and was an opportunity for me to do, perhaps this last once, write so enthusiastically about an hobby I have loved for the last 12 years of my life.

Long live FME! :)

That is one fantastic write-up Daryl, and reflects on what most people have/are thinking.

HTS is a fantastic machine on these original ROMs, and like you have so rightly put, it is thanks to Launton for these original ROMS and HTS & Zoltar (CC) for the layout that has been so brilliantly put together.

Thanks to everybody that has made this excellent layout possible.

Thank you.

Pity MFME sound doesn't work correctly in Win7.

Nothing wrong with the sound on this machine on win7 64, think its just the ones that use synth audio.
