hi all,
i've just bought a barcrest "rich and famous" from a friend for personal use, the trouble is the place he had it from set the machine with cheats on and maximum payout and i'd like to know how to change the settings if this is possible without changing any cartridges.
any help on this machine would be really appreciated.

thanx in advance,

Try downloading the Rich and Famous layouts and seeing how it is set up in the Configuration in MFME, hopefully that will point you in the direction of setting dipswitchs and things to temper you machine.

Hope that helps.

You can get the ROMs and a DX layout from the following two links. These need to be loaded into the MFME emulator :

You are not listening to us, by looking at how the emulator works with your machine you can remove the current set up on your fruit machine and remove the cheats within minutes.

Fruit machine emulators and roms needed are avaialable from this site. It only takes five minutes to check, but hey, if you dont want to listen to us on how to fix your machine then suit yourself. I have a feeling not many more people know what else you can do.

Hi all,
first of all thanks for your help.
I've downloaded the emulator and the roms and they work fine, i've had a play with it but cain't really find out how to change any settings.
I've changed the jumper settings but i can't see any difference in play or payout.

I'll keep trying though but if anyone knows any different or anything to do with plugs or switches in the back in still very interested.

Thanx for the help

Scott..

With the emulator you can change the payout % etc by using the door key and running the system tests, change the payout option in there.

Wheter it is the same on the machine i really dont know but it might give you some clue what to look for.
