Check to see if teh battery has leaked (especially underneath the battery), if it has, it needs a new mobo or someone with a very fine soldering hand.

If it hasn't leaked its your PSU gone wobbly.

Highly recommend the "Epoch Spares Pack" available on ebay (No its not me).

I had this problem on my epoch machine, it is a problem with the main board, they tend to be very "buggy". i got me another board off ebay and it solved the problem :). (I did get it working with the origional board while i was waiting for the replacement to come by disconnecting all the wires for 10 miniutes then reconnecting them, it was ok for about a week).

i took all the cables out of the main board and turned it on hoping it would alarm but nothing (is that normal?) and then tried the wait ten min thing still nothing
finaly managed to get "some" life out my machine(see image)and also checked to see if battery had leaked and it seems fine so looks like i need a new psu

thanks again for the info guys

Contact eggy-777 on e-bay, and see if they have the epoch spares pack.

Normally about £40 delivered, and a very good price it is.

(He's got a PSU up right now, £24 delivered).

Yep, that looks pretty bad, and I am 99% sure that at least 2 of the thin tracks that run under the battery, will be fecked, and will probably explain the issues you have been getting.

Worst damage I have ever seen on an Epoch too.

Unfortunately, when you get a battery shit itself on an Epoch board, most of the time, you will need to scrap it. :(

Just remember if / when you fit a new battery, fly-wire it off the board, to a safe place, so if / when it leaks again, you just need a new battery.

I sorted a Impulse Flashback for a member @ DAD's a few months back, and there was only the tinyist of leaks, but it was enough to stuff the board.

When replaced, everything worked once more, and also the hoppers worked, which it did not before.

Small, flat blade screwdriver, just under the ends of the chip, and gently ease them up, also noting which end the notch is on the chip (The notch should match up with the chip sockets, but make notes to be sure, also noting which chip came from which socket).

If you are going to throw the old board in the bin, would you send it to me if I cover postage?
