Hi guys,

There certainly are some fantastic layouts coming out but there seems the be one common problem, screen resolution........... Alot of the layouts i have looked at are in 1280 x ???? resolution and for me this causes a problem cause I am working from a laptop and it only allows me to go to 1024 x 768 (typical) and I am sure there are others out there who have the same problem with one machine or another..... Now i know the answer if to upgrade the card but that is not possible for my machine and I'm not spending £1500 on another laptop just to get a higher resolution so my question is this : Can the layouts be released in 1024 x 768 as well as the 1280 resolution..... I know this means more work for the designers but wouldn't it be better to accomodate for everyone?? :D

The majority of layouts being released now are unlocked so the artwork is there for a resize.

There are always people around who will do smaller versions if enough people ask for it, there are a number of instances where the original layout author has donated his artwork to someone else to do an alternative.

Best bet is to join Poundrun if you haven't already as it seems all the designers read it. Fruit Forums possibly, but it appears to be an off topic wasteland at the moment. Put your request there, but be specific, something like "I really like that Blazing Trails DX is anyone working on a 1024 version, I don't mind the bonus lamps being missing" is going to get a better response than "All those 1280 layouts, can you do them at 1024". You need to fire the spark in a designers mind so to speak (and the best way is to talk about a specific machine), they will take it from there.
