Thinking this might have to do with the other 'can't get some www sites' issue.
Went to empty my bin and got a 'Cannot delete De7328 - Access is denied' crap. Problem is even with show hidden files I cannot even see the bloody thing.
Maybe it is spyware but I am using malwarebytes but I guess it might be letting it through. Any good cleaners out there you recommend?

Malwarebytes does have a kill file utility, for removing files, that are in use, as your problem is showing.
Open malwarebytes, click on More Tools > File Assian. Direct it to where the file is, and run the killer.
You may need to reboot to remove the offending file, but it should work.

Could try this Geddy..a program i have used in the past.
Unlocker Freeware download and review - delete files that are locked from SnapFiles
Then give it the once over to remove any last traces of spyware type crap with this.
http://www.filehippo..._essentials_xp/
Microshites own...free but very effective and thorough.

failing that, make a note of the file and boot to dos and delete it manually. i had a tricky virus once and had to use this method. not for the faint hearted..

Thanks for the replies.
Erm how can I navigate to the recycle bin in dos to delete the file which I presume is this DE7328? When I open the bin I can't even see anything. Trying to empty it says there are four files.

Have you tried rebooting in 'safe mode' and trying to empty the recycle bin from there.

No because that is the obvious thing to do hehe.
Got it sorted anyway I think. Bit miffed some spyware progs (adaware) report malware when others like the MS one mentioned does not, ironically it was a program for patching xbox 360 games hehe.
Still to sort the mystery of the 'not loading some www sites' issue.... I think I need Scooby and the gang.
