If your tied to a contract they can. When mine was cut off they tried the same with me but i had already done my 12 month contract and when i reminded them about this they dropped the charges and just ended up paying my line rental.Plus they have the cheek to add a further £10 late payment charge..

don't pay it flat out refuse tell them untill it is corrected they wont see anything off you ,seek legal advice as well if they keep calling you daily for the money tell them it is harassment and you will sue the guy calling you and his company he will then no doubt be a **** so he wont understand you so you may have to shout slowly at him ask him for a mac code as there service is now unfit for your needs they have to give you this if there service is unfit for you i would say lie and say you constantly get bad speeds but it virgin so that's a given ..

I had a problem with em about a dodgy internet cable that only worked whenever it felt like it and they wanted me to pay £100 to get it replaced:eek:.So i told em were to stick their super fast broadband and their shite tv which always crashes were the sun don't shine.

I'm not sure why they are telling you this! I was cut off last month for 17 days and when i got my bill it was not a full months charge it was a lot less. I phoned them and they said that because i paid up and didn't have the service they didn't charge me. I don't know if they only do it on your first time of going over your limit or not paying your bill but i did get a discount.

Threaten to leave and not pay. See what happens. Worked with sky and they gave me free TV for 6 months.

Id do anything not to leave virgin, as they are the fastest ISP..

I recently left virgin media after many years of being with eurobell then they became telewest then virgin, I left after bills getting higher but service getting poorer.

I am with talk talk now and paying half wot i paid vigin so happy to give virgin the middle finger.

The guy from virgin that collected my modem showed me a folder with 300 people he had to disconnect seems like they are losing alot of customers!

Now I'm not saying you're wrong, but how can you have no services and be charged £284.37? Even if you were tied in to a monthly flat fee, it shouldn't be £100 higher than the last month???

£284 a month... you must have talk 3,000,000 to anywhere world wide, unlimited 10,000,000 MB Broadband, a platinum diamond studded mobile and Every channel in this galaxy... that's what I'd expect for that price a month. :)

Just get it all cut off then continue to use it for free when they stop charging you, yet leave phone tv and broadband all connected and stop charging you.

I told Virgin to shove off 2 years ago and they did, but left everything on :D

Erm sorry but this boils my piss....

Since when has the word 'ASIAN' been a racist comment? We are not allowed to refer to them as 'Paki' even though it is an abbreviation. (Do we get offended when we are referred to as Brits? I effing think not...) Is 'Japs' a racist comment too and if so why?

All this rasict/PC shit has gone way too far..... get a grip.:arghh:

chipped boxes here are £50 and cough cough modems here are £30

it pays to shop around

also the people who chip these boxes ect actually work for virgin pmsl

i don't use a chipped modem now as i have 2 constant unsecured wifi conections around me lol so thats saved me £30 ;)
