You cannot log into the download area

Symptoms
You are unable to login to the downloads area although you know the username and password you are using are correct.
Problem
It is likely that either your username or password contains non-alphanumeric characters.
Solution
Change your password via the User CP on the main site and remove the non-alphanumeric characters. If the characters are in your username then you will need to contact a site admin and request it is changed.
