Just when you thought the bearded one had f****d off, he returns.....
 
Deal or No Deal - Rapid Round from surprise surprise.... Bell Fruit.
 
It's actually plays a good game for a DOND, which makes a change.
 
** This layout requires the MFME font which is included in the download **
** Also included in the download is a happy-ish Ram **

many thanks for this but for some reason when i open it for the first time it hopper error and when i clear the hopper errror it boots but wont coin up

PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE the MFME font here.  The latest one is always at www.desertislandfruits.com.

 

If you do wrap this up in a release and put an older version there, you will break layouts.

 

If you want to use the font, make a note that it is downloadable from mysite or otherwise make your own font.

I do not want people giving out possible earlier versions of it that at somepoint in time will  break future layouts if they overwrite a new one with an older one.

Yes it is - but what happens when I release a new layout in the future that has an update and somebody who is new to MFME downloads this layout and installs the font, breaking their newer games as it has less items in it ?

 

Easy scenerio to happen...

 

This is why it's better the font is linked to so people can always ensure they have the latest and not risk downgrading it when they get an older layout.

Might have missed a trick with this, the machine has "red reels" Lamp 256 ticked as an LED & you'll see, explains the random feature upgrades.

Can't seem to get the red reels working like Bank job however so just threw a label on in place of the active on max stake

to get the layout to show the red reel check the reel configuration like this, its the same i did for snakes and ladder £70

i never ticked any lamp 256 just ticked the LED in the reel configuration and added a red lamp mask

do it for all four reels 

 

just played it and whilst the red lamps work when finished with the "red" reel feature the main white reel lamps don,t appear to light up unless you get a hold or your back in on a normal feature, or the machine goes into attract mode again it resets itself then.

Pay unit error 17 everytime for me.  Just like when cctalk wasn't emulated in 9.4/9.9/10.a.

 

Any ideas how to get past it?  Rebooting it doesn't.  Neither does clearing the ram.

maybe clearing the ram has killed it try re downloading it again

here's the configuration table. don,t know why sec4 was set but its normally like ive set it as it 

sec8 - 1  sec 2 - -1

               sec3 - 1

               sec 8 - 1

 

ignore dip6 bank 2, the dip 6 on bank 1 enables the full test menu via refill key

Weird, i did set it exactly like that but had no joy with it. Guess it needs a save/reload. Seems to be similar to Bankjob, that would boot with red reels until you got a hold/actual red reels then they worked as normal


And to answer above, yes doing a RAM clear kills the machine as it unlinks the hopper/notey, just need to pair them back up again in door open & the config.

If you clear the RAM then you'll need to start it with the devices in Trusted Mode as the DES key gets reset.

I had the same issue with the first release but the update fixed it for me.

I can't understand why this layout stopped working for you all, as the version I uploaded is the exact same version that I have that loads fine for me. It's got me baffled.

I went for the force gave jp on cash etc and got mega but played the game music spinming the steak I after £70 the game music stopped and steak went to £140 but machine ia mega dead after that £20 for a board

Got it; it's from a fresh download mine does it if I replace the normal ram with the happy ram.

 

Can anyone else get it to work with the happy ram?

You'll need the .gam file and the happy ram, as the deskey gets stored in the gam file, and it changes over time.
