Forgive my ignorance but what exactly are 'Pushers?' I presume they are not the old fashioned coin drop thingies. Apparently the ones I'm talking about are scorpion 6 coded. Any info? Are these actual Fruit Machines? Cheers.

Traditionally yes coin pushers are just the old drop a coin in to the top in hope of pushing others off the playfield.
There are also more Hybrid ones about like the Namco Pacman being just one, and the Harry Levy / Electrocoin bar-x ones..... however the one you are mentioning, guessing it's the DOND one, that looks like it is fitted in to a standard machine cab? That one is pretty much similar idea to the bar-x one I mentioned.

Heh, both of us being old farts, know what a pusher should look like, but yes what you are looking at, is indeed a coin pusher.... the MPU generally deals with side games and features of the game, but it is in all essence, a coin pusher.

I guess that would not be too easy to emulate

We have a knackered Magic 7 pusher at work. Seemed to be very popular last year.

Now this pusher is quite a rare beast, quite unlike most of the hybrid's out there, in that it uses a standard reel based game, to award a gold / silver / bronze type of access to the coin pusher part, with the award determining how many coins it will drop in to the pusher feature..... quite an enjoyable game.

There's also a partytime player that also doubles up as a coin pusher too!
