Hi everybody,I recently purchased a touchscreen pc that is running an "it box" emulator through windows.the problem i have is that some of the games run fine but some dont work at all and i wonder if there is anybody out there that can help me with re-configurating the ones that dont work.Im not that good with sussing out what to do but if someone knows how to sort this then im ok with following instructions!I know this is'nt fruit machines but maybe with someones knowledge,it may be the same principles that you guys use.many thanks for your time in reading this-i hope someone can help this poor soul !

Would help if we knew which games didnt work...

There are many SWP games available on the system you have - and not all of them run on the ITBOX emu

Also - why do you not ask the person you purchased it from how to get them to work - I presume they run on a DIY frontend system

.

Hi Darienne,I thought i would start with a general plea for help(is there anybody out there who can?) rather than list the games.A list of games which have faults on can easily be supplied-i will get a list together asap!.Most of the faults are as follows- 1.frontend video picture in menu selection missing.2.The game wont run because the start button is inoperative.3.Game does not have a credit registered on screen so it wont play.4.Game loads,you press start then screen goes black and instantly returns back to menu selection.I bought the touchscreen from someone on ebay,He was selling 3 of these at the time so i thought it was safe to buy.When i recieved the goods,i found some game faults and emailed him and he stopped replying to my pleas for help,so here i am in no-mans land.i have about 160 games at present,the guy who sold this said he had over 280 games,im not sure how many there are but for now i would like to get the ones i have working.I will put the games into 4 fault categories which would you like to work on first?Many many thanks for your swift reply.kind regards,mark

You have 2 choices....

1. File a SNAD with paypal, send the item back and get your money back.

2. Re-programme the whole front end system to make the games run properly.

=================================

1.frontend video picture in menu selection missing.
Not sure which frontend you are running - easiest to use is "SimpleTouch FE" - This supports JPEG & VIDEO for selection
However running upto 16 Videos is very processor demanding, so better to use JPEG

2.The game wont run because the start button is inoperative.
A certain number of the PARAGON games will not play (Ones I can remember are: Around The World In 80 Days, Hex Appeal, Pharaohs Treasure) as you say the START button is inoperative (But I only think around 6 or 7)

3.Game does not have a credit registered on screen so it wont play.
The frontend is probably not running the correct emulator for some of the SWP to play
You will require an INDE & ITBOX emulator running to obtain credit on the games

4.Game loads, you press start then screen goes black and instantly returns back to menu selection
Menu is not configured to find the game within the correct folder, as this returns an error you simply get returned back to menu selection.

=================================

Sounds like the bloke you bought it off made a right dogs ear of it.

Just a case now of learning how to use "simple touch fe" and reconfigure it all to show the games on the menu and make it load up the correct games (which is very time consuming)

You will have to run the emu and load up each game manually - take a screen grab of the menu and use that as your JPG for the menu

Or you can use these JPG of my screen grabs of each game listed above....

Hi,I have checked through your lists and found i have Itbox 1-114 and Paragon 21-73(maybe at a later date you could tell me where to get Inde 1-70 and Gameswarehouse 1-20.Games with no start are-the ultimate movie quiz,south park,pharaohs treasure,matrix,bubble blockout,connect up,around the world in 80 days.Guess who brings up the "loading"page then screen goes black then crashes which means switching off and on again.fruitix jackpot loops back to main menu when you select start and fruitix displays no credit so you cannot play.south park 2 does not load at all and trivial pursuit 2 the play button executes"how to play"instead of "start".The rest are missing screenshots-42 in all.Once ive cracked how to do one then i should have no probs.regards,mark

All the games are hosted on CLIFFS REPRO -- there should be a link to his site under the LINKS header, you need to register an account and then you can download the remaining games.

New to this forum, but not new to the SWP Stuff etc. But to solve Liverpool2008's problems with the cursor for Skill Ball Bingo. Here is a .exe of the game with the cursor, without using SONAR.

Just replace the .exe in this .zip archive with the one already in the folder for Skill Ball Bingo.

If this is has already been posted, please excuse me.

Hey daddymac,
Hope your getting on well with your problem, just in case your still having issues... Fruitix requires the INDIE sim to play. I have found your can't run both INDIE and Itbox sims at the same time, I am using SimpleTouch FE and configured each game to load the sims as and when... (As a pre game executable).

Have you found a solution for Guess Who hiding it self??

There is an emulator that loads BOTH the ITBOX & INDIE games (without the need to load seperate emulators)

Just out of interest though - what command do you use to launch the emulators in Simpletouch FE, when loading each of the games...
