This may sounds like a really novice question but can you simply replace an existing programme card with a different game, swith the decals and you're good to go or this a little more to it than that?

It might run, but the lights would all probably be wrong.

 

I'm sure spa tried it with one of his machines, least I think it was spa.

Any game card should run and boot fine as long as it has the same number of reels. But once booted, like chasnbons has already said the lights would be all over the place and you wouldn't know what was going on. Not sure why you would want to? Unless you replaced the whole glass. Decals are only for changing jackpot amounts.

And yes spa tried to change his rob da bank machine into a star wars by using star wars roms. Although the machines appear to be clones of each other, some bulbs still didn't mat have up correctly.
