Moving on from the general discussion topic of this its got to a certain stage where it becomes a forthcoming topic as you can see from the images below the before and after images the off image has most of the decals blanked out for re-writing. it's going to be a hard task and I hope to do this justice.

Now the questions - How do you get the text/font to look like the feature text as in overlapping and two colours, will I have to write the wording out then overlap it with the same text but a pixel or so up/right??? (see the original image for text).

Easiest way is photoshop stroke and dropshadow, this way you won't need to create multiple layers just for the text, it should suffice.

It's not that simple for this layout because of the outline.  You will need to create the complete outline separately once you have create the feature name.   I did this quick, it's not perfect but it shows the outline.   It's not that fiddly but would make this layout a lot more time consuming.

I used Rockwell Bold, it's similar but not correct. It will be a fairly common font from linotype I imagine.

The font is just a generic thick poster serif font.

small update for those that are left, done the feature text, I kind of cheated and copied the lit ones and darkened them down for the off image then relit them for the on. not to bad in my opinion.

next early morning update, well almost finished with the text side of things just the cash decals lots of em and the winlines 1,2,3 plus a few other bits. I've gotta say it ain't looking to bad given the photo's used. Only thing wrong with it is the buttons the cancel one in particular but not a lot I can do with it. question time!!! does anyone know what its supposed to say beneath the "BANK SCORE" text I can,t make anything out on the images I had and would like it to be as near as possible. off to sleep now ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzZ.

Magz it wasn,t in Gloucestershire by any chance as had this for a while in ours where I worked.

Why all the updates Vectra?

Just create a WIP and then make a release.

Good luck to you but why?

Why not, needs to be done then if anythings incorrect it can or could be rectified plus I think i do regular updates as it stems from when members didn't believe I actually did the work within my layouts, but that's in the past. I suppose I also like to keep people updated. And finally if you made a wip topic with only one image then there's no point in doing the topic in the first place. Another thing does anybody know how to do the fancy alpha display on here?

I rather like the updates. Not for everyone perhaps but for me it gives a chance for some input (although sorry Vecs I can't remember what it said there) and also shows the amount of work required to make a layout...

On that note I see reelfruits.co.uk have one available - they might be able to shed some light?
