hi I have 2 scorpion 4 machines the newer ones with the 240 mod,

the gamecard has a green varta battery on it on both, I don't have them batterys in my machines I use a coincell mod and diode replacement which is great on the main scorpion 4 board

I took the battery off the gamecard on monster cash to see how I could figure out an apply my coincell to the gamecard

but the battery doesn't seem to be needed it works without it on

does anyone know what its for and if its needed at all???

is it aback up for the board battery ??

thanks in advance  dave

I think its for the time and date for when alarms occur or settings are changed

I think they had them on machines with progressive Jackpots? I know my monster cash only had the 1 on the main board.

But yeah I think its there for a progressive jackpot machine.

perhaps its just my monster cash that doesn't need it then if yours doesn't?  i'll see if the other which is deal or no deal will work without it

ps what do you mean my progressive jackpots ?

For instance on the Later Club Cops n Robbers that runs a Scorpion 4 system.

You can win the normal Jackpot or a Cashpot which goes up and up until someone wins it. This doesnt reset everytime the machine is off, but its part of the gameplay so it maybe why some cards have batterys on, im guessing, it sounds logical but im probably wrong :)
