Default e access violation on new emu?

dont know what this is but have downloaded new emulator and when trying to run it, get an "about" window which when i close gives me "e access violation" and then closes the emulator.

please help

Anyway have you sorted out your problem?(no,i dont mean being a shit fan).
I can't see what would cause this problem,did you d,load from here or another site?.
Try d,loading it again,could sort out the problem,

did download from this site, have done twice now and both times get this message.
excuse my ignorance, but you just unzip and double click the icon, right?

Try this,this what i did myself.
Create a new folder on your desktop.Place the unzipped MFME2 file into your new folder,unzip the file to your new folder.
Double click the MFME2 icon and all should be ok.
Let me know if this works

...Which Operating System are you using?

I ask this as only about 300 people have downloaded the emu, and I guess a vast majority will be on XP [such as myself!]

Personally I am on XP PRO build 2600 SP1, and XP HOME SP2, although I don't think service packs and build numbers should make a difference.

It would be useful to check my following points though :

a) Which Operating System?
b) Have you got an up to date version of Direct X?
c) Did you have any problems with MFME 1 / 1.1 or any other emulator?
d) How much RAM have you got?
e) Which processor / speed have you got?
f) Is it a Laptop or Desktop computer?

Sorry for the questions, but they should help us narrow it down!

Of course, if you reply to OS as Windows for Workgroups 3.11, that'll be your problem
