Access to the V9.4 of the emu at the repro

Hi

I have made some changes to the repro server if you just want to d/l V9.x of the EMU you can now get it without haveing to create an account and use an ISP to do this follow the instructions below. Access is instant and you dont need wait for an account activation

1) At the log on screen click on the option below the normal log in boxes named log on as a guest.

2) This will take you to the EMU folder for Guests.

3) Double click on this and the folder will open and give you access to the all of the emus from here you can download the EMU.

4) This is the only folder that you can get to if you want access to the other files you will have to create an account.

5) The D/L Speed is much slower but you will get the file

I hope this will stop all the attempts to use my account ect if it dont then i will have no option but to close the server to all but invited members, I dont want to do this but this is my last attempt to keep it open to all users.

Will this mean that you will not be accepting new members now.

I tryed to become member but it looks like the acount was deleted as yestoday it said not active but today it says invailed acount.

I also used my ISP email which ends in ukfsn.org to sign up.

I will now only accept full members who are either layout designers, or other users who need access to developement recorces, all of the layouts are now avilible from here its only the emu that i have that cannot be got anywhere else and that is now freely availible, your account was deleted as i did not detect ukfsn.org as a UK ISP.

This is such a shame that you are having to go down this road. I can fully understand why you are, and it's very reasonable that you are giving everyone another chance. Come on guys.... Why would someone want to do that anyway and spoil it for the rest??

Well I created my own account several months ago, I hope that means I'm one of the invited members, should new subscriptions be banned - I don't want to lose this...

To anyone thats not happy with the situation can i ask why?

You can download the emulator from cliffs repo still if you want it

The layouts for the emulator are hosted here, so unless your planning on designing an emu and need other resources (which you can also get elsewhere) then there is no problem.....

All current accounts will still be active i may do some account culling once i see who just made an account for the emu and has never been back since but all old accounts will remain

I have been thinking about this as the emulator is now freely availible to all users who want it VIA the guest log on as of when I get home tonight approx 20:00 the ability to create a new account will be removed from the repro. All new accounts will be VIA an E-mail request I will post the E-mail to send requests to later, Accounts will only be granted to those who need access to the repro materials for layout design ect.

So to sum up

1. V9.x is now availible freely to all users by using the guest log on option.

2. All of the layouts are now freely avilible on Fruit Emu and other sites.

3. As of 20:00 on wed 30.06.07 the repro will go invite/request only.

4. Access will only be give to persons who can prove thay have a need for access to the recorces availible.

5. All currently active accounts will remain active so those users who have an account will not be affected. However in the future any long inactive accounts may be removed.

6. The reasons for this are to give me more time to look for new stuff to add to the server and to spend less time on the admin of the server. Now that the layouts for the leaked EMU are availible freely at other locations the job of the server in respect of a supplyer of layouts is not now as important as it was and its time to get it back to what it was set up for to supply recorces to the developers ect.
